Service is vital to the success of Al-Anon and District 11. Our District serves the needs of roughly thirty Al-Anon Family Groups (AFGs) in Marin County, California. Please offer your time, energy, experience, strength, and hope to fulfill an open service position. Training and service sponsorship are always available, so do not hesitate to volunteer.
Open District Service Positions

| District Representative (DR) | – Chair monthly District meetings – Represent District 11 Groups at Area World Service Committee meetings – Provide information and resources to Group Reps |
| Alternate DR | – ALT DR backs up the DR in fulfilling their responsibilities |
| District Treasurer | Manages and documents all accounts payable and accounts receivable Maintains a prudent reserve and detailed financial records Works closely with the District Budget Coordinator to monitor cash flow Serves as a resource for the Treasurers of District 11’s groups |
| Alateen Coordinator | – Coordinate the activities of District 11 Alateen Groups – Liaise between the Area World Service Committee (AWSC) – Convey information from the WSO to DRs and GRs, AISs – Certification will be provided to be an Al-Anon Member Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) |

| Alateen Process Person | – Represent District 11 Groups regarding Alateen forms as the contact to WSO AFG Records – Processe all Alateen group and AMIAS information for the Area – Collaborate with the Alateen Coordinator concerning the distribution and submission of Alateen forms and WSO reports. – To be an Al‑Anon Member Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS), certification may be required and provided |

Join us at the District 11 business meeting to learn more about Marin Al-Anon service opportunities. Service position holders and Group Rep from our meetings gather on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. All Al-Anon members are invited to attend.
